b)  Press "1" for english
c)  Press “3” for Credit Card & MoneyPlus enquries
d)  Press “3” for Credit Card & MoneyPlus enquries (again)
e)  Key in your 16-digit card number, follow by # key

Fake milk powder suspected to be sold in Johor

210 boxes of suspected fake infant formula seized in Johor Baru

JOHOR BARU: Malaysian authorities have seized 210 boxes of suspected fake infant formula in five raids in Johor Baru.

Johor Domestic Trade and Consumerism Ministry director Khairul Anwar Bachok said on Sunday (Dec 10) that the products were confiscated from drug stores and convenience shops in five different locations in Johor Baru.

SINGAPORE: Enfagrow A+ Malaysia has issued a statement informing consumers how to identify packets of fake infant formula that were sold in Johor Baru.

In a Facebook post on Monday (Dec 11), Enfagrow A+ Malaysia said that the only affected product is the Enfalac A+ Step 1 in 1.8 kg boxes that included three foil packs in each box.

Here's my advice to those parents who buy milk powder in Malaysia:

Avoid provision/drug stores/convenience stores and buy from the big players such as Tesco, Giant or Aeon instead. It may costs you a few dollars more but peace of mind is priceless.

Even in Singapore, you can get cheaper milk powder from some Chinese medicine halls. However the source of these cheaper forumla milk is likely from Malaysia. DYODD.

New Mall in JB - Paradigm Mall

The largest mall in Johor Bahru opened on 28 Nov 2017 and is bigger than Singapore's largest shopping centre VivoCity. Its a 20-minute drive from Woodlands Causeway.

Been there on 2 Dec 2017.

The bad:
  • All the lifts are not functioning. Maybe its just me that I cant find any functioning lifts at all.
  • A clogged sink encountered in one of the toliet. The toliets are not clean in general (due to lack of staffs?)
  • Not all the shops are opened. Ice skating rink is not available yet.
  • Restaurants are pretty crowded.
  • To park in the mall, you will need to go through 7 levels of car park slope. It is not easy for manual car.

The good:
  • The Mall is really big! Very spacious with lots of walking space!
  • Parking is free (for the moment)
  • Many sales and promotions due to the grand opening
